We need to get better about doing these proper updates for this show! In case you missed it, two weeks ago we had an episode entitled E3 Confusion. That episode spawned this episode's broader topic, The Summer Swampass (Part 1), where Chad and I wax nostalgic about Donkey Kong Universe-filled summers of yore. This episode takes us from 1995 up until the summer of 1998, where excitement about the DKC and DKL trilogy gives way to the early N64 years and the dawn of the spinoff series.

Ich Bin Ein Gorilla

Achtung! Have a shufty at this baby, why don't you? It's an old Club Nintendo comic from the mid-'90s, chronicling the events of Donkey Kong Country 2. Meticulously translated from its original German by forumers Caramelman (he isn't made of caramel) and Milo (he could be), this one comes with a twist: it's actually not shit.

DKC Trilogy- Erased from Existence!

Quick, What does the Wii Shop Channel have in common with Joseph Stalin?

Well, a fine taste in mustaches I suppose, but on another note: ALL THREE Donkey Kong Country games have been de-listed from the North American Virtual Console and will be removed from the European shop on November 25th. What for? Rights issues? Expired License? Plans to move the games to another console? Donkey Kong suspected of corroborating with US intelligence? Who knows! More on this story as it develops, but feel free to speculate for the time being....
