First, a bit of background.
The Fast And The Furriest was first mentioned here. It was to be basically Kinect Sports with the Xbox Vision Camera, except with recognizable characters and much less spite from the fanbase. At the time, it wasn’t DKU, because, while pasting your face in a Rare character’s dead skin is certainly appealing, not to mention disturbing, they weren’t the actual characters. However, this might not be the case.
After years of not knowing anything, Rare, in a not-so-common habit of theirs, posted this video on their YouTube channel.
Around 1:18, the PowerPoint presentation showed that the screen seen years ago wasn’t fake, after all, and it came complete with a logo:

According to Nick Burton, the game began development in 2006 by the Perfect Dark Zero team, but it didn’t have the fidelity they wanted. As you can see in the video, there were various amounts of Tiptup costumes on the screen, which shows that it wasn’t DKU.
…But then this shows up:

Hey, it’s Tiptup! Or is it?
So, was The Fast And The Furriest DKU by way of Tiptup? If that screen’s of any indication, then yes it was. But if it’s just a screen and it comes down to the footage, then no, it’s not. While the mystery may never be solved, it’s nice to know that at one point, Rare was looking to expand its audience with the use of their own characters.
