IGN posts loads of screens and videos, official Diddy Kong Racing DS site is up.

Diddy Kong Racing DS is only a few weeks away from our greedy American/Canadian hands, and deja vu aside, the screenshots and information keep on coming.

For starters, Nintendo has an official DKR DS site up, which you can find here. There’s nothing up at the moment, but like everything in life, everything will be revealed in due time.

Surprisingly, IGN of all sites has posted 6 pages worth of DKR DS screenshots. From what we can determine from the shots, the story will be more fleshed out for those who are privvy to reading the manual, the title screen looks different, and there’s actually 50 balloons to collect compared to Diddy Kong Racing’s 47 (in a mini-game, that is). Those who want to check out the videos can find them here.

February is going to be a month to remember.

  Interesting DKR DS with the producer

It talks about obvious stuff like Taj's replacement voice and the criticism on the touch screen controls, but also a better idea of how the balloon-popping challenge could have worked better. You can't change what's been done, but "live and learn".

  Thanks for the interview link. I would love a sequel made by Rare. Hopefully, they would improve controls (I hate any touch controls).

  I personally would love a sequel. I loved the game, but I think it would be nice to see where they could take it further. And, I agree with amanezco. The touch controls sucked.
