Donkey Kong Writing Music for Lagomorphic Crossover

Nope, it’s not a ridiculous hoax after all. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is officially happening. What could be even crazier? Why, the news that Grant Kirkhope is composing the music for the game, of course!

Mr. Kirkhope seemed pleased as punch to confirm his involvement with the game on Twitter, though sadly, it’s highly unlikely that he’ll be voicing Donkey Kong again as he did in the good old days.

The announcement trailer features a giant Rabbid clad in DK’s tie, but there’s no sign of the big ape himself, so it is yet to be determined if the game will be DKU or not. It’s pretty likely it will be, though, and it’s always a pleasure to see our universe expand further. Welcome, Rabbids!

This is real. This wasn't an elaborate hoax.

Guess I wan't the only one who heard a bit of Klungo's theme in there. Even though Grant didn't work on that game, I hear a little bit of Bad Fur Day in this tune.

There's also a fair bit of Rampo's boss theme from YL in there.

Planet Cool, it makes me smile as well smile.gif

In the past, I never really liked Peach. Up until and throughout the early Wii era, I thought she was very boring. I feel like more recent games have gone out of the way to make her more likeable and interesting. This is a perfect example.
