Donkey Kong Writing Music for Lagomorphic Crossover

Nope, it’s not a ridiculous hoax after all. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is officially happening. What could be even crazier? Why, the news that Grant Kirkhope is composing the music for the game, of course!

Mr. Kirkhope seemed pleased as punch to confirm his involvement with the game on Twitter, though sadly, it’s highly unlikely that he’ll be voicing Donkey Kong again as he did in the good old days.

The announcement trailer features a giant Rabbid clad in DK’s tie, but there’s no sign of the big ape himself, so it is yet to be determined if the game will be DKU or not. It’s pretty likely it will be, though, and it’s always a pleasure to see our universe expand further. Welcome, Rabbids!

This is real. This wasn't an elaborate hoax.

Yeah the various Rabbid characters actually have a decent variety of design. I've been pleasantly surprised.

*Really hopes Yoshizilla isn't talking about fucking a Rabbid*

*Looks up Lava Queen on Google*

*Despairs*

The typical Rabbid personality appears to be well blotted-out via mask and Glowing Eyes of Doom. That actually is pretty hot.

I just beat Bwario and Bwaluigi. Now I'm faced with yet another obnoxious block puzzle. The combat in this game is a hoot, the graphics are nice, the music is kickin' (it's Grant Kirkhope; of course it is) and the cutscenes are funny, but boy oh boy are those block puzzles obnoxious. Who told Ubisoft that shit was fun?

I've decided to at least beat the main campaign of Mario + Rabbids before advancing further in Odyssey (and maybe put in some Pokkén Tournament time, too, even though I suck so hard at that game I've become discouraged). My team is Mario, Rabbid Peach, and Yoshi right now, but I'll probably trade out Yoshi for Luigi soon like a conformist little melvin.

Probably my favorite feature in the game is that you can reset and rebuild your skill tree at any time. That's incredibly helpful.
