Jon Lovitz Explains Banjo-Kazooie

It STINKS. One of the oddest (and staff favorite) things in Nintendo promotions comes to us in the form of the Banjo-Kazooie promotional video. Not only in the fact that there are no stupid masturbating hosts on the screen, but that somehow, for some reason, Nintendo was able to get brilliant comedian Jon Lovitz to narrate it.

Jon Lovitz, known most for his hilarious cartoon, The Critic, is a Saturday Night Live icon and has starred in such films as Small Time Crooks and the upcoming Rat Race. In early 1998, he apparently recorded a ten minute promotional voice-over for Nintendo/Rare's upcoming Banjo-Kazooie. Lovitz has an unmistakable voice, which despite having no credit in the movie or its packaging, is a dead giveaway. Fans of Lovitz' work will recognise his trademark inflections and overall nasal, annoying, and hilarious voice.

So here's the MP3 file, which is close to ten minutes, and only 4 megs. Sit back, waste 10 minutes of your life, and enjoy Lovitz' cryptic pronunciation of "Jinjos"!
