What if a major event in history never happened? What if someone ran over Hitler when he was a young boy, preventing the Holocaust? What if Kennedy was ill the day he was supposed to be driven through Dallas, and decided to stay on the plane? What if Gorbachev never took office, altering the events that led to the fall of the Soviet Union?

What if Gruntilda's evil sisters never rescued her?

That's what's asked in Banjo Kazooie: Gruntilda's Revenge, for Game Boy Advance. For some reason, Blobbelda and Mingella never take the initiative to haul her out from under the boulder, and Klungo is the only one who could help her. When he finally does free her after a longer period of time then we remember her getting freed, she's withered away to nearly nothing. It's so bad, she's forced to transfer herself into a new cyborg body, ironically called in this reality, "Hag 1."

Alternate realities exist in the DKU, and we're about to discover one for Banjo and Kazooie. Can they stop the evil Gruntilda before she travels back in time, erasing the accomplishments of bear and bird in Banjo-Kazooie, to change things in her favor? Or will this version of the dynamic duo end up on the losing end of the battle?
