Jolly Roger's Biography
Species: Frog
Jolly Roger, along with his partner Maggie Malpass, came from Timber's Island (years before the hoard of immigrants did so) to the Isle o' Hags to found a successful tavern and inn. The establishment became such a prominent part of the beach side resort that the latter was soon named after Jolly Roger himself. Jolly and Maggie were happily running their business until Maggie became MIA one day. (S)He was swallowed by a monstrously large goldfish, but Jolly had no way of knowing this. It took the efforts of Banjo and Kazooie to find and rescue Malpass. They also fixed the broken jukebox in the tavern with the help of a Cheato code.
By the way, Jolly Roger has the distinction of being the first openly homosexual character in the Donkey Kong Universe. We're not joking either. Jolly really is gay. Now pass the Salty Seaman Brew!
