Humba Wumba Transformations Checklist
Well, as you can see, this is the much ballyhooed "T-Rex Spell" that Mumbo promised us close to two years ago in Banjo-Kazooie. It occurs in the dinosaur/prehistoric level in B-T (dinosaur/prehistoric levels seem to be Rare's main theme this year), so you'll be normal sized compared to most stuff. As cool as we thought it would be when Mumbo first mentioned it? Well, nothing could be as cool as being a giant dinosaur when everything else is small (compared); but still cool nonetheless.
This is a snowball. Yes, Humba Wumba turns you into a snowball. And you thought Mumbo's pumpkin spell was insane. It takes place in the game's snow world (come on SirSlushes, reappear!). You roll around a lot. It's a snowball. Banjo becomes a snowball. How does he take a leak as that thing?
Hey, hey, hey! Have you seen U-571? Me neither. But this spell is related to that movie, so shut up. Anyway, it seems even a propellor won't harm those indestructable shape-changing shorts. Banjo and Kazooie can now transform into a metallic submarine for extra underwater mobility. Expect torpedoes as weapons, as the only thing most of the Banjo-Kazooie transformations lacked was an attack of some sort.
It's any one's guess as to what this puzzling Humba Wumba spell is used for. Well, obviously the TNT box is for blowing things up, but wouldn't that result in instant suicide for our heroes?
This spell is used in Mayahem Temple for a special purpose. There are statues you can talk to that give you hints, but the spirits of the statue will only communicate with one of their own. This is what Banjo plays Mayan Kickball as, so he won't be crushed under the weight of the other statues. The rocky version is surprisingly fast, and can tackle others to show them who's boss. One can assume enemies would be hard pressed to hurt you as a rock statue, but that's merely speculation at this point.
This spell is pretty signifigant as it's the first spell to transform Kazooie. Before, Banjo was always the one being transformed with Kazooie staying in the backpack. Now that Kazooie is allowed to go roam about, she can get Humba Wumba to turn her into her own different creations. This one appears to be a wind-up bird spell used in the snow level. Should be interesting to see what impact this has on gameplay.
Not much is known about this spell. It appears though that Banjo turns into a van (collective "no sh-t" goes out among our three whole readers). Judging from the screenshot, it appears you're hauling money away in Banjo. A bank heist? A favor for the bank to get the money back to the bank? A random money delivery? Nothing to do with money at all? As long as there's no shag carpeting in Banjo, we don't care either way.
Yes, you've seen this spell before. In the spring time, in Click Clock Wood, in Banjo-Kazooie. It was a fan favorite spell, so Rare was kind enough to put it in again amongst the new spells. Those who have played B-K are familiar with the logistics of it. You're a bee, you can fly high, and you have no attacks. That's......it.
Again, this baby is from Banjo-Kazooie, and happens to be our favorite spell from that game. It was a secret there though, whereas it appears to be a regular spell in the game this time around courtesy of Humba Wumba. In B-K; Mumbo would either accidently turn you into it for a brief second, or you'd get to play as it if you completed all of Bottles' puzzles. This spell originally had no special purporse, and you have pretty much the same abilities as you did a regular bear (something priceless with this spell is Kazooie flying INSIDE the backpack) despite some things like walking through water. The Washing Machine probably does a whole lot more in this game, but we'll have to wait and see. WORSHIP THE WASHER!!!
