Worlds Checklist
The game starts off, appropriately enough, where Banjo-Kazooie started off. Spiral Mountain still plays home to Banjo's (soon-to-be charred) house, as well as Gruntilda's not-so-final resting place. It is here where the opening cinema holds court, and gruntilda is ultmately rescued. I expect Jinjo Village directly branches off from Spiral Mountain. Waterfall cave, anyone?
Mingella and Blobbeldas' version of their older sister's humble abode, the Isle O' Hags is Banjo-Tooie's overworld. You can reach all the areas from here, probably in multiple places for a single world. This is where Honey B calls home, as well as Master Jiggywiggy's temple. The local Humba Wumba transformation is the returning Bee Spell.
Perils aplenty await Banjo and Kazooie as they venture to their first world, Mayahem Temple. They can take control of Mumbo, a subsequent giant gold statue, and Banjo turns into a Stony, via Humba Wumba.
This old, creaky amythest mine is just waiting for Banjo and Kazooie to venture into the dark depths of Glitter Gulch Mine. A handcare race against a gold statue is available, as are chats with Bullion Bill, and Humba's (not-so) famous Detonator Spell.
This carnival is no picnic for our trio as they venture to Witchyworld, the witchs' personal carnival. It's here that most of the Banjo-Kazooie characters converse, some sightseeing, others raking in the cash. An armoured van spell awaits, as does Gobi the camel and hordes of impenetrable evil slot machines (laboured nod to Ben).
A lifting pirate hanty plays in the background as Banjo and Kazooie travel to Jolly Roger's Lagoon. In the bayside village they can chat with pirates, and maybe even put back a few pints of Grog. Underwater, it's another story entirely. In the creatively-named Atlantis, Banjo and Kazooie must not only search a sunken city and battle underwater creatures, but locate Humba Wumba and recieve her Submarine Spell.
Terrydactyland plays host to a wide variety of dinosaurs, and Banjo and Kazooie find themselves joining in on the fun through Humba Wumba's fabled T-Rex spell.
After the prehistoric romp, take a mechanized tour of Grunty Industries, the witch's prize manufacturing facility. Numerous floors, wrench-wielding hippos, and the returning Washing Machine Spell all show up to hinder your progress. Well, maybe not the last one.
It's out of the freezer and into the frying pan. Well, actually it's more like into the freezer and frying pan at once, as Hailfire Peaks has both a gurgling lava sector, and a frozen-over ice area. This looks to be one of the largest worlds yet, as players will undoubtedly have to travel back and forth to unlock everything. Kazooie gets a solo transformation from Humba here: a wind-up mechanical bird spell.
Not much is known about Banjo-Tooie's final world. In fact, the only proof of its existance is the back of the Banjo-Tooie soundtrack CD. Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be nothing short of amazing.
See above, only think "Dingpot".
