Movie Synopsis
Well, Banjo-Tooie movies are popping up all over the place, and many people are complaining that their computer can't handle the mammoth downloads. So being the strapping young lads we are, we decided to give you a detailed synopsis of the moving splendor of bear, bird, and thing.
Daily Radar 3.5 Minute Preview
There is a loud tribal music playing in the background with random "eekom-bokom" Mumbo Token noises. Banjo and Kazooie run up to a rocky area with a boulder in the center. They backflip onto it, and the camera rotates to see Banjo's face. He jumps, and Kazooie does a Beak Buster, only it seems more like a drill. The boulder explodes, exposing a flight pad. They immediately take off. A menu on the right side of the screen features five different types of eggs. There is the traidtional blue, then a red, silver, green, and checkered yellow and brown. They fly normally for a few seconds, but then go into a first-person view.... Fhile flying! Crosshairs appear (in the shape of a honeycomb) in the center of their field of vision. The duo lands, and jumps up a few steps. They go into first-person view as a cat's "REEOW!" is heard. A tiger-type creature with a shield and oar runs toward them menacingly. Kazooie shoots a red egg at it, and it flails about, running in circles in flames. They switch to the silver eggs, and Kazooie hits it with one, putting out the fire, and a second one to freeze it. Lastly, she switches to the green eggs, and fires, and the tiger thing explodes, ice and enemy shattering alike. Banjo and Kazooie run and pick up their honeycomb prize.
The classic Jiggy screen wipe opens into a square arena, with four rock people. Text says "Mayan Kickball (Quarter-Final)". The ref (who is a Jinjo in the clip, but this is because the voices and text faces haven't been done yet) says "Hey, who's this ugly new guy?" as you see a large rock with ruby Croctus eyes. The camera changes to a top-down view, and the Ref says "May the best Stony win!" They all go at it, trying to kick rocks into their color-coded goals. This goes on for about ten seconds, as they tackle each other and scramble for the win.
Next, Banjo is holding Kazooie like a gun in a first-person shooter level. They hear a "REEOW!" cat sound, and turn to see a tiger thing chasing them. Kazooie shoots it with normal eggs, but it gets right back up. They move backwards, toggling to the ice eggs, but a tiger hits them from behind. As it runs through them, they shoot it with an ice egg, freezing it in place. They do the same to the first tiger. Both tigers frozen, they switch to green explosive eggs. Well, you know what happens next. KABOOM, KABLAMMEY! Collect the honeycombs, go on their way.
There's a giant green dinosaur balloon floating in a circus tent. Banjo says, "Gulp... I sense a battle coming on..." It replies, "If you insist!" Banjoand Kazooie fire green eggs at this massive balloon, until they find a weak spot and pop it. It slowly deflates, saying, "DOH! You've found a weak spot. It looks like I might need some help here..."
We see Banjo and Kazooie swimming into an underwater cave. Their air meter is now made of ten bubbles, which seems to mean longer underwater time. When swimming, both Kazooie flaps and Banjo kicks. They exit the cave into a large open underwater temple in first-person. They turn to a puffer fish (Puftup?) who airs up as they near. They shoot a green egg into him and he explodes. They turn, passing a clear fish (whose intestines are visible), and target another inflated puffer. Sushi for all!
Banjo runs onto a blue pad, and almost instantly Kazooie flies out of his backpack onto a red pad. They both look around. Bottles speaks up (we now know that he's dead, but once again, the voices and talking faces are not done). "You have split up. To change to the other character, stand on your pad or near a swap cloud and press A."
Out of the entire three-and-a-half minute movie, this short ten-second clip is by far the best. It features Kazooie gliding above a huge dinosaur world, amidst pterodactyls who yell "QUARCK!!!" and divebomb you. It appears that she doesn't need any feathers while flying solo, as she just glides around. The wind whistling through the area combined with the incredible animations makes this the top point in the movie. Ohhh, yes.
Next is a short clip of four-player deathmatch. It is in first-person, just like the scene with the tigers. Looks fun. All players are Banjo and Kazooie, though. I hope you can unlock more characters, as this seems kind of monotonous. Oh, yes, and in the corners of the room, there are moving golden things, but the video is too blurry to really tell what they are. My brain keeps saying that they are Crocti, but I could be wrong. Hey, ammo has to come from somwehere, and you filled them up with more than enough eggs in B-K.
Lastly, we see Banjo's hands through a first person view, and crosshairs in front. he is shooting at red, green, and blue targets. The DKC balloon values hold true even today: one point red, two points green, and a whopping three for blue. There is a Jiggy seen floating above a metallic saturn thing, seemingly out of reach. Banjo just continues flying on shooting targets, ending this video with a total score of 101.
