Sprout's Biography
Species: Intelligent Beanstalk
Sprout started out as a bean type seed, that originated from another beanstalk that somehow was included with the Timber's Island immigrants that came over to Donkey Kong Island (plants weren't that uncommon though among this group, as Trunker from Banjo-Kazooie fame is probably one as well). This seed fell through a knothole in a tree stump in Fungi Forest. That, my friends, is where we were first introduced to the one known as Sprout.
Sprout the bean was just laying there until Tiny came unlock, shrunken in the knothole and looking for Golden Bananas. Tiny took the bean with her, and planted it in some fertile ground near Funky's Store. And it grew. It grew quick. Maybe it was the combination of the magic in it's cells from Taj, or maybe beanstalks in this region just grow quick. No matter, Sprout was grateful for being born and all, and he gave Tiny a Golden Banana that she had to use Squawks to get. How Sprout got a Golden Banana when he was still a seed is beyond us, but we try not to think too hard. As Joel Hodgson first said, "you should really just relax."
