Screech's Biography
Species: Parrot
(Kremling Army)
One of the most underappreciated parrots of our time, Screech is undeserving of his poor reputation. Well, really, Screech is a worthless parrot, as he was easily beaten. He's still a great character, but you know... not exactly the biggest asset to the success of the Kremling Army. Anyway, here's his tale.
Growing up as a fledgling on Crocodile Isle, Screech was raised to be ruthless. His parrot-like cunning proved quite valuable on this evil isle, and he quickly rose to the top of the expanding Kremling army. The leader of the Kremlings at the time, K. Rool, developed a rapport with the parrot, and it wasn't long before Screech was his right-hand-bird. After being busted from prison by Cranky Kong, losing to the Kongs once more, and returning to Crocodile Isle, K. Rool developed a piratical mentality, and Screech became his traditional pirate's parrot.
K. Rool kidnapped Donkey Kong one day, and Diddy and Dixie Kong set out after him. As they neared K. Rool's aerovessel, the Flying Crock, Screech threw himself in the line of fire. He was the final obstacle they would face before reaching the Kremling King. Screech went into a bramble patch and challenged the Kongs to a race. The loser would develop a deep understanding of the phrase "finishing dead last". Luckily for the monkey pair, the Kongs' parrot friend, Squawks, showed up and raced Screech in their place. The maroon parrot-o-evil inevitably lost. At the conclusion of the adventure, Crocodile Isle was destroyed and the Kremling Army was nearly wiped out. When K. Rool returned months later and the events of Donkey Kong Land 2 unfolded, Screech once again had to race Squawks. Once again, he lost.
After K. Rool's fourth failure and falling out of the position as king, Screech went with the "pirate" Kremlings like Klubba on the Gangplank Galleon and sailed away. They're currently their own seperate faction of Kremlings plundering somewhere at sea, even unaware that K. Rool has returned to power.
