Diddy Kong Racing Merchandising Campaign
A little late for merchandising, isn't it? Well, it's never too late in the DKU, as we can see from Kiddy's action figure! And what better game to hype up than a severely under-appreciated game such as Diddy Kong Racing. It came as a surprise to us all when a generous occupational Christmas gift contained previously unknown Diddy Kong Racing merchandise! We're on the lookout for more DKR merchandise, now that this gem has been discovered. So read on, about hopefully what will become a new line of Diddy Kong Racing merchandise.
Purchased at a Target Supercenter, of all places, this is one of the most unusual DKU products we've seen! You can't tell from the cover, but this huge tin contains dozens of jawbreakers! 43, to be exact. They are ORIGINAL jawbreakers.... not those crappy gobstoppers. This is the real thing. And they come in the most incredible tin ever! Diddy is on the front, popping out of the metal half an inch to give a three-dimensional quality to it. It has five screenshots from all over the game, and three Diddy Kong Racing logos around the sides. Why would this tin be released just now? Could it be an attempt to get DKR knowledge up for a surprise release of DKR2? We sure hope so! In any case, even if you hated jawbreakers, this would be a great purchase for the tin alone.
