Now entering virgin territory.

All developers have games that are eventually retooled beyond all recognition, or even cancled outright. We've tossed them down here to keep them cleary defined from the games that did make it, and to contain the stench of rot and DK decay.

Twelve Tales: Conker 64When critics bashed this game for being too cute and juvenile for its own good, Rare turned the tables on them. Its replacement, Conker's Bad Fur Day, was raunchy and clever, while dealing with mature issues, and providing important social commentaries on the horrors of war and the true meaning of loss.

The critics complained again.

Dinosaur Planet
Blame Nintendo. Blame Rare. Blame Miyamoto. Then curl into the fetal position and sob your eyes dry. Though the exact circumstances have never been made entirely clear, this game was remade to become a part of the Starfox franchise, losing something special in the process.
Donkey Kong RacingNow that Rare no longer can use the DK license, this game will almost certainly never see the light of day. Viva la Sabreman Stampede!!
Donkey Kong Coconut CrackersThough never officially cancled until recently, this game passed its given release date without so much as a peep from Rare. Many people believe the game is now hiding under the guise of "Its Mr. Pants".
Diddy Kong PilotThis heady little number boasted such wonders as the return of Dixie Kong and the missing dogfight arenas from Diddy Kong Racing. Then nothing happened for two years and the game faded into anonymity. Watch, as a bear steals its glory.
