Tired of crediblilty? Want to take a walk on the wild side? Then you've come to the right place! Here at the Mario Kart Double Dash!! Speculation Center, our crack team of investigators (that would be the five of us, then) will sift through hordes upon mountainous stacks of in-game graphics and the like and pluck out the little tidbits that just might be important. So take a gander! You never know what you might read, print out, and impress your friends by taking all the credit! Oh, and in case you're wondering, this section will remain up after the game is released, so we can all laugh at how far off our silly explanations are.
5/5/03
---The Kong’s exclusive items will include their guns and instruments from DK64, along with several types of barrels and barrel related products.
---Diddy's inclusion will be found to have been nothing more than a cruel hoax.
---Breaking off from tradition, there may be unlockable characters, something that the series desperately needs.
---One of the unlockable characters will be DK Jr., proving that Nintendo can screw up any idea.
---Rainbow Road will be back, sporting it's usual trippy cool driveways. The music will be even better than the N64 version, but the skyline will the same as the final boss from Super Mario Sunshine.
---At the end of the game, Dixie will be gunned down by a mongoose mob boss, and Diddy will finally learn how much he took her for granted.
---The Donkey’s level will be a standard jungle with dozens of Mario-isms scattered about. Mushroom industrialization on Donkey Kong Island? NEVER!
---Diddy’s level, however, will come straight from DKC2. Can anyone else say volcano track?
---There will be a GTA3 parody level, with Candy, Mona, and others wandering around as hookers
---The game will allow the same character to occupy both seats, leaving it up to us to explain 2 Donkey Kongs on the screen at once. Maybe the Chest of Time pulled the driver from after the race and made him the gunner. I dunno. We'll burn that bridge when we come to it.
---There will be character-centric minigames that have to do with racing or speed. Minecarts anybody?
---Those who preorder the game will get a GAMECUBE version of MK64 with all new tracks.
---A “classic” mode will be available, for those who want single seat racing.
---The game will sell 12 copies, because everybody wants it to be 100% identical to MK64 and will subsequently gather in the NoA parking lots with massive signs declaring "WE WANT TOAD!"
