Behonkiss's Starfox Adventures Review
Ooooh....Pretty textures. The game looks great, I must say. There are a lot of nice techniques used: The water, the pillars by the Ocean Point Temple, Andross, and of course the fur. Nice to see your return, furry shenanigans.
'Course, it isn't perfect. The water doesn't seem to change at all when you jump in, it's easy to glitch up the graphics and see through the polygons, and the Bafomodads just look crappy. I don't care, though; this ties with Wind Waker for best-looking GCN title.

Argh. Bad acting has officially become a Star Fox series staple. And it's strange, because Rare's done great voice-acting in games like Perfect Dark and Conker. Yet, things here just don't work. Every female besides Krystal sounds the same, the characters sound like they're yelling every line for some reason, Slippy is STILL annoying(Just in a different way), and Fox sounds like Kermit the Frog when he falls. Seriously. Listen to it.
However, the music makes up for most of this. David Wise may never make a bad soundtrack. Sure, it could've been a lot better if the original Dinosaur Planet had been made, but what he made works very well and is great to listen to.

Okay. Here's where things start to go horrible. The control's pretty bad. Fox moves too loosely, and I often felt that I wasn't really moving him as much as I could be. The staff aiming is horrendous, as well. The Arwing works, though. Glad to see Rare knew how to keep a good control scheme.

Nope. Sorry. There isn't much here. I had a lot of fun with the Arwing levels and the part where you have to shoot all those missiles in Dragon Rock, but everything is really, awfully straightforward and mundane. There's no sense of excitement, freedom or originality in this game aside from what I've already mentioned.

This makes me come close to hating Nintendo. They took what would've been a fantastic N64 game and made it into a GCN game that, aside with nice graphics, is about as good as an average 3rd-party game. And I hate Tricky, thank you very much.
