Glancy's Mario Kart 64 Review
It's a Cameo game, and it's not Rare (obviously) so the graphics aren't
going to be
a wonderful sight to see. I rather like how Rainbow Road looks though, and
the
character select screen is kind of nice too. But overall I'm not very happy
with how they look. The racers are just sprites instead of polygons and the
items are sprites as
well. Actually it would of looked very strange if the items were polygons
and the racers
weren't. This is one of the older N64 games so I'll cut it some slack. This
time.
The Yoshi model will give you nightmares for months. All of you.

Contrary to what alot of people think, this game has wonderful music. I'm
rather fond of Koopa Beach and Rainbow Road myself. The car sounds and items
sound great and don't get too boring to listen to when you have 3 or more
people playing. The bananas sound like a wet sock hitting the bottom of
thick rubber boots, and I rather like the voices too. Especially Luigi. He
sounds funny in a lame way. "WhahoOoOOoOooo!" But that's not the point. At
all.
I have mixed feelings about DK's voice though. To me he sounds like a cat
with a bowling ball down its throat. Really. Very odd indeed.

Play control is quite a lot like any other racing game. I don't know what to
say about it.
The characters turning seems quite loose to me and if you turn too much you
spin out.
The controls are quite easy to use and will take a while to master. (You
know, the whole
"WHEeeee" thing.) Quite good if you ask me.

Well it's not that original. Maybe even less than Mario Golf or Tennis. It's
just an N64 version of Super Mario Kart, WITH DK! It's a great game that
I love like my friend who always bites me.
Oh yes, there's also Wario but I could care less about him.
8.2
Well, it's not the greatest game on earth but it's definitely one of my
favorites. It isn't as good as other DKU games and I still think DKR is far
more superior but you should still by this. Even if you despise the Mario or
Donkey Kong series.
