Kirby's Biography

'Bay-uh bay-ooh BAY-OW!' Species: Who knows?
Where is Popstar? Is it a faraway planet? An alternate dimension? The world of our dreams? Wherever it is, it's a nice and peaceful place. And Kirby's in it.

Kirby's your fairly normal Popstar citizen. He's cute, cuddly and doesn't have a care in the world. Except when trouble strikes, which is when he has to go postal and eat people to attack others.

See, Kirby has a unique ability. He can swallow different Popstar inhabitants and, if they have a special power, temporarily gain it for himself. This is obviously quite useful, as no villain can narrow him down to one attack pattern this way.

There are quite a few villains throughout Popstar that Kirby must defend the inhabitants from: King Dedede, the gluttonous penguin who steals and treats others unfairly, Meta Knight, the mysterious warrior who is skilled in swordfighting and seems to be of the same species as Kirby, and Dark Matter, a rapidly growing alien force dedicated to pure destruction. Kirby has a few animal friends of his own to help, such as Rick the hamster, Coo the owl, and Kine the fish.

Kirby came into the DKU when he was pulled from his dimension by Master Hand in 1999, where he battled DK amongst the other 11 fighters. After Crazy Hand ressurected Master Hand in 2001, he was once again forced to fight against the original 11, plus several other odd creatures from different times and regions.

Kirby is currently having the time of his life relaxing on Popstar with friends. Maybe he and DK will meet again someday if Master Hand ever returns, but otherwise he's likely not to be seen again in the DKU.
