I havent chcked my percent in a few hours...its probably around 30. i comepletely cleared the first two boards. im working on the third now. questions: should i have more than 4 fairies? and 2...when i lift the boulders ont he outside of the aztec board, and play lankys music, a diddy barrel appeared but i cant find it...should i be able to see it?
-Steve from NY
No. We have absolutely no idea. Now please enjoy this large space of blankness for no good reason. Ahem. Hmm, let's see. I believe by the time you complete Aztec and Japes, you can have five to six fairies, but you don't immediately need them. You can go back and get them as you like. And let me pop in my trusty yellow cartridge and see where Diddy's Jetbarrel barrel is. Hmm... Okay, after you enter the main area from Cranky's cave, you'll come across the #2 bananaport, and a little further are the #3 and #4. Turn towards #3 and walk up that short staircase, and you'll be at Diddy's jetbarrel barrel! Satisfied? Well, I won't be until I figure out why you people call the levels "boards"! People, this is not Mario Party!
You have a great site here. I played every DKC game, but haven't touched an N64 (Blame my brother. He wanted a Playstation, my father got it, and that's the last console we're gettin'. He owns me a N64 ^_^) Anyway...
-I haven't seen your article on DKC TV yet, but what I seen on your site, I agree with you. Diddy Kong's voice is absolutely disgusting. Donkey Kong voice's plain sucks. Dixie's new clothes are stupid and her hair! Ugh. Doesn't she ever BLINK? The soundtrack has to be one of the most vile things I ever heard. It makes the soundtrack from any dubbed anime sound like the work of Bach. I apologize, since dubbed animes have decent soundtracks nowadays.
-I think Dixie Kong is the most underappreciated characters. Her solo debut(sorta) was overshadowed by the N64! And she wasn't in DKR. That almost made me give up on Rare and Nintendo itself. I wish Dixie is in a game soon...

Thanks for your support on the cartoon show. I think with Donkey Kong 64's release, it's set DK and pals right in the minds of people out there, and they no longer see them as their twisted cartoon counterparts. As for Dixie Kong, I wouldn't call her underappreicated. She has a very large fan base and when DKC2 came out was embraced by girl gamers. However, I agree how DKC3 was overshadowed by the then blasted N64 (it's redeemed itself since). And I was saddened she wasn't in DKR, but that game helped build a new lineup of Donkey Kong heroes (Banjo, Conker, Tiptup, etc.). Maybe we'll get a Dixie Kong Racing soon. Rare can't escape Dixie's popularity forever...
hey do u have donkey kong 64? Is there a way that you can play with 2 or more players cuz i just got the game today.
-IsSuEs aNd KoRn
Yes, yes, yes. We have the game. Everyone seems to ask this. Herm. Anyway, to unlock multiplayer, you must beat a Crown Battle and rescue the furry primate known as Diddy Kong. And now some more blank space because you love it....... erm.....yeah. The Crown Battle is above the large vine, next to Funky's place. To get Diddy, you must but the gun from Funky, and shoot three coconut targets throughout the level. They're fairly easy to find, and we wouldn't want to spoil the surprise for you, would we? So shuffle off to play, then.
I must agree with your comments in one of the latest updates. Though I haven't read Nintendo Power, I definitely think that saying Pokemon Snap is even slightly better, or even, with Donkey Kong is the most retarded thing I've ever heard. The entire game could be beaten, even mastered, in a period of about two hours and had low-end graphics that I think far worse than Mario 64's. I suppose I can't say I'm against Goldeneye, Mario, Zelda, or any of those other classics, but I think we need something new to be rated at the top. It seems to me like American kids (And sadly, some adults) embrace any cheap Japanese game import like Pokemon or Tamagotchi and turn it into a franchise.
As for Miyamoto, I can't say he is a bad developer but he seems to have lost some of his touch working for Nintendo 64. Alright, Zelda 64 was an epic, standard-breaking game, but it simply didn't have the magic usual with some of his classics. Unfortunately, Zelda Gaiden appears to just be a stupid oddball game in the Zelda series with no new gameplay or real plot. I should hope it gets better than simply an Alice in Wonderland video game in a Link costume.

P.S. DK 64 is great!
P.P.S. I am eagerly awaiting the release of Perfect Dark for its, ehh... big guns. Actually, I'll probably just buy it because it's a Rareware game.
I'll let your comment about Perfect Dark go. Yeah! WHOOO!!! DK64 IS GREAT!!! Heh heh. We weren't saying Miyamoto was a bad developer, we were just saying that he was overrated. Thanks for your support though, as it's nice to see some sign of reasoning clicking inside a person's head while on the internet. I really think Miyamoto should pass the torch to Rare.
I saw ur site in da internet and i was wondering if i could ask u a question about donkey kong. Do you now how to get Tiny? Well e-mail me back anyway even if u dont kow the answer just letting me know u got the mail
-Thanx
Yeh, I gotz u annser. U just got to find her in da level. Okay, enough of the text ebonics which oddly seem to be all the rage. Aren't you in the mood for some blank space for no good reason again? Erm... I am too! What you have to do is go into the first outdoor temple you come across. Enter it with Diddy. Press the button to make the monkey tongues poke out. Jump from one tongue to the other, and shoot across to make the long tongue come out. Run across, and play the guitar. Now, jump into the water, swim into one of the tunnels, and come out. Run to her cage and Chimpy Charge the Diddy face to make platforms appear. Jump on them and charge the letters KONG in order.
And there you go.
Christmas is coming, and I want a game for my SNES (Yeah, I know. Don't blame me, it's my brother's fault. He wanted a PSX and we got one. >_<) I plan on getting Crash Bandicoot Team Racing (A DK knock-off, yet enjoyable) and I can only get one other game.
I've previsouly rented both games, and I complied a list.
DKC2:
Graphics(Duh)
A better storyline
GREAT MUSIC (The beginning theme is superb. They should make a "Score of DKC2 CD...)
Like Diddy
DKC3:
Better Graphics.
More enjoyable to play
Contains my favorite team, Dixie and Kiddy (They should get more attention. Donkey and Diddy? Pffft.)
So...uh...what do you think?
-MegamorphJ@aol.com
Talk about a tough one. If Dixie and Kiddy is your favorite team, I would suggest going with DKC3, and DKC3 is a better all around game. BUT, you will probably fall in love with DKC2's "theme" and like that one better. And I don't know how far you've ever played in either games, but lets just say that DKC3 has the better storyline as time progresses through the game (it's somewhat deeper than DKC2), but DKC2 has possibly the best ending in the three DKC games. They are both evenly matched games, and it's incredibly difficult to choose for you, but I would say DKC2, for the simple fact it came out first and it's good to get games in order. As for Crash Bandicoot, I suppose if you already own a Playstation it's okay to get it, but if it were me I would just say trash it and get both DKC2 and DKC3.
1. when was the last time you swallowed a donkey?!?!?!?!?!?!?
2. would you 'do it' for a scooby snack?
3. how many cups of sugar does it take to get to the moon?
4. why do seagulls fly over the sea? cause if they flew over the bay they'd be bagels!
5. how many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?
6. who loves orange soda?
7. would you like some more turkish delight???
8. what's your favorite scary movie?
-Megail85
Well, I don't really understand the relevance of the questions, but I'll try my best to answer them. We're not about to start a Trash Letters section, like some of those other sites.
1. Last Tuesday, I should think.
2. It depends on the keeper of the Scooby Snack.
3. The square root of a banana, divided by the formula for the area of an equilateral triangle, times several large pea plants.
4. Correct! And because the other seagulls would laugh at them.
5. Oh, you'll never make it without biting. Ask Mr. Owl.
Mr Owl: One, Two-HOO, Three! (CHOMP) Three.
6. Kel loves Orange Soda. Is it true? Mmm hmm. (See? We don't skimp on even the most hideous of television viewing)
7. Why, yes, thank you! Thank you very much.
8. Showgirls. Absolutely frightening.
