There are four of us. We are Saf, Chiphead, Lankydavid, and Sparky Z. A few of us can spot the difference between mountain gorillas and lowland gorillas. Despite that, we are still obsessed with the modern incarnation of the DK series. The words below contain our life stories, useful for fangirls and stalkers of various sorts.

Chiphead Chiphead was born in 1845 in North Bankok, Scotland. In 1849, a boat he was on crashed in the Antarctic. About 140 years later, he was thawed out and raised by penguins. It was around this time that a cargo ship containing numerous crazy contraptions such as "televisions" and "Nintendo Entertainment Systems" crashed. He was soon hooked. "Around 1993, he was discovered and brought to civilization. In 1994, he was first exposed to a game called "Donkey Kong Country." It became his favourite video game and to this day he wonders why he never got the sequel until five years later. Because of that and the fact that he didn't have a Game Boy, his obsession with Donkey Kong faded until Diddy Kong Racing. After that, he became a big fan of Rare and the DKU, despite not knowing what to call the latter. Around May 2000, his friend showed him a site called Donkey Kong's Jungle Vine (that would be this one for those of you with the intellegence of a retarded monkey). He later became the most frequent poster on the forums and eventually joined the staff for its recent relaunch (for those of you with the intellegence of a retarded French person). Chiphead now owns every DKU game in existance that doesn't rhyme with Wario Party 4, and will continue to buy them, despite the fact that he'll have to buy [cue unnessecary dramatic fanfare] an Xbox.

Sparky Z Sparky Z has been a follower of the DKU since it's charter game back in '94. In fact, Donkey Kong Country was the first video game Sparky ever played or owned. Since he had nothing to compare it to, he didn't realize just how special it really was. It wasn't until he rented a crapload (quite literally) of other games that he saw the light. Sparky was actually the driving force behind the Vine 2 movement, but lacking html knowledge and any semblence of writing skills, he was force to assume the lowly position of UBB moderator for a short while. Luckily, during the site's second major hiatus, he found the time to teach himself these skill and now enjoys a full editorship. When Sparky's not spending hours and hours of his spare time on the DKVine board and doing other DKVine related things, he can be found admiring the works of Tolkien, exploring the Star Wars mythos, and rabidly assimilating mathematical knowledge.

Saf was inducted into this insane world we call the DKU by a little game called Banjo Kazooie. His love for this game eventually lead him here, where he lurked about the forums, and matured into the intelligent fellow you see before you today. Ahem. Saf took the reign to the vine after the Great Editor Migration of September 2003, an event he denies linkage to to this day.

David, AKA Lankydavid, AKA Duffmandavid, AKA PNATREEATOPPSY, AKA Lankyplanet, previously worked w/ former dkvine editor behonkiss at the nintendo enyclopedia. Following that he open up the Mental Messengers Brigade and the We Love Klobber homepage. Turnons are long walks on the beach and sex.

Oh yeah, and there used to be a bunch of people who used to work here, before they got tired of the job and handed the reins over to the current group. Some of whom were the original creators. You can read about them here.

Hark the tale of the brave Jungle Vine team.
